We are recruiting a Full Time Dispenser / Dispensing Assistant for our pharmacy in Edinburgh.

You will work in our pharmacy team, supporting the responsible pharmacist, and delivering excellent care to our patients.

Your role will involve Taking prescriptions from customers, checking orders off from our suppliers, dispensing prescriptions and preparing weekly compliance devices, methadone dispensing & supervision, participation in the needle exchange service, ordering items, counter prescribing, checking stock eg. bags, cartons, bottles and ordering where necessary, cashing up, stock rotation, answering the phone and dealing with different local surgeries, assisting the responsible pharmacist in whatever way necessary.

You will need to have:

• An NVQ2 (or equivalent)
• A Medicines Counter Assistant Qualification is preferred/essential/however if you don’t have this we will support you to achieve this qualification within your first year.
• The drive and ability to build relationship with colleagues, patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Great communication skills.
